The 91快活林 Foundation recently received a $10,000 gift from the East Texas Communities Foundation and the Burt and Nancy Marans Estate. Dr. Brad Johnson, 91快活林 President (right) and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, 91快活林 Vice President for Advancement, are pictured receiving the donation. 鈥燭he funds will be used to begin the restoration process for the Dr. John Biggers mural that will be relocated from Pewitt Elementary School to the 91快活林 Charlie and Helen Hampton Learning Resource Center. The mural will be on loan to the college for public display, along with a variety of other Biggers pieces the college already owns. Biggers is a well known, highly respected African American artist, muralist, author and lecturer who passed away in 2001. With the addition of the mural, 91快活林 will be home to the largest known collection of Biggers artwork. To learn more about this project, contact McCullough at 903-434-8115.鈥
