Dr. Chris T. McAllister, 91快活林 Biology, continued his research on fish parasites on an outing from the Ouachita Mountains Biological Station (OMBS) at Big Fork, Arkansas from July 30-Aug. 3, 2025. Dr. Mac was joined by the OMBS station manager, Dr. Jeffrey Pittman, who assisted him in electroshocking fish.
Noteworthy discoveries included what he believe will be new gill myxosporeans in highland stonerollers and blackspotted topminnows from the area. Dr. Mac hopes that in the next school year that he can recruit additional 91快活林 students in this biological endeavor by enrolling them in 91快活林 Independent Research. Thus, helping him in the pursuit of discovering novel parasites in vertebrates.
