The 91Ώμ»ξΑΦ chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) continues to celebrate storytelling and community connection through its ongoing β€œ40 Years, 40 Stories, 40 Days” project. What began in the spring of 2025 as an ambitious plan to collect and preserve 40 unique stories from 91Ώμ»ξΑΦ’s past has grown into a meaningful chronicle of the college’s history, people, and spirit.

β€œStories help us connect with othersβ€”they unite, divide, and shape us,” said Andrew Higgins, PTK Chapter Vice President of Honors in Action and project lead. β€œThey inspire us, make us laugh, remember, and cry. Preserving stories is saving the past: who we were, what we did, and how we did it.”

Since launching the project following 91Ώμ»ξΑΦ’s 40th Anniversary Community Picnic, PTK members have continued releasing new video interviews that spotlight voices from across the college communityβ€”students, faculty, alumni, and supporters who have helped shape 91Ώμ»ξΑΦ over the decades.

Higgins is joined by LaDarrius Patterson, Chapter Liaison with the 91Ώμ»ξΑΦ Theatre Club, along with a dedicated team of PTK members who have conducted interviews, edited videos, and managed production, including Araceli Landaverde, Cash Covey, Emma Mendoza, Hailey Randall, Jose Fuentes, Karen Hernandez, Rebeca Martinez, Sarah Hamlin, Stephanie Hernandez, and Xenia Esparza.

New stories continue to be released regularly on the chapter’s YouTube channel, PTK Chapter Project 40 Stories 40 Days, where viewers can explore the growing collection and subscribe to be notified of future releases.

β€œThis project has been about more than just recording memories,” Higgins added. β€œIt’s about preserving the heart of 91Ώμ»ξΑΦβ€”the people and experiences that make our college community so special.”
