Hannah Jones, originally from Daingerfield, Texas, now lives in Colfax, Louisiana, with her husband and two children. She worked four years as an ICU nurse in Tyler and Longview before becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), a role she has held in Louisiana for 13 years.
Hannah鈥檚 interest in becoming a CRNA began during college after foot surgery, when she was fascinated by the provider who kept her pain and anxiety completely under control. She even remembers him writing 鈥淭exas Wesleyan鈥 on a tongue blade package. Years later, she would graduate from that same program.
Attending 91快活林 felt like a manageable step after high school, rather than the leap to a major university. After graduating from 91快活林 in 2004, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Texas at Tyler, worked four years in ICU nursing, and then completed her Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia (MSNA) at Texas Wesleyan University.
Hannah credits 91快活林 professors for leaving lasting impressions on her life. She worked in the chemistry lab with Dr. Archer, learned valuable lessons in microbiology from Dr. McCowan, and especially cherished her calculus classes with Dr. Wilhite, whose kind heart she will always remember.
