91¿ì»îÁÖ Women's Soccer beats ranked Navarro

The Lady Eagles soccer team faced off against the 13th ranked Navarro for the second time in a region game Tuesday. Navarro came out strong and found the back of the net in the 4th minute giving them a 1-0 lead. The Lady Eagles were able to uphold the pressure and keep the score at 1-0. In the 25th minute††was able to capitalize on a penalty kick and even the score.

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) recently announced that the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Eagles Softball team ranked third in the nation for team grade point average. The team held a 3.52 GPA for the 2014-2015 school year.


Head softball coach, Jessica Keith, said that academics are always a priority for her team.

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Lady Eagles Softball team split two doubleheaders with the Temple Junior College Leopards to start their season. They kicked off the series with a 10-0 win on Friday and dropped their nightcap 3-2. The Lady Eagles started off the day on Saturday with an 8-0 win and dropped the second game in another one-run barn burner, 4-3.


?We scheduled to play Temple at the last minute and we had just started practicing on the field and coming together as a team.

Eagles Soccer advances in playoffs, seek berth in national tourney


The 91¿ì»îÁÖ (91¿ì»îÁÖ) Men?s Eagles Soccer team advanced in the Region 14 tournament this week in dramatic fashion.† The Eagles won their first round playoff game against Laredo Community College Friday, but it took two overtimes and a penalty shoot-out to get it done! The Eagles now advance to the final round of the Region 14 tournament this Friday when they face off against Pearl River Community College at 2:00 p.m. at 91¿ì»îÁÖ.

Men's soccer continues winning streak

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ (91¿ì»îÁÖ) Men?s Eagles Soccer team won†four†of†four†games this week., shutting out†Jacksonville College,†Paris Junior†College†and Coastal Bend College, while giving up only one goal to Laredo Community College. The Eagles are†now†ranked†fifth†in the nation according to the National Junior College Athletic Association coaches poll this week.

† † †Rodeo fans will get to see more than 300 athletes from throughout the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) compete for points and prizes next weekend as 91¿ì»îÁÖ its 25th annual rodeo. The event will be held October 9-11 at the Mount Pleasant City Arena on Greenhill Road.
