The 91快活林 CARE team, along with Student Success, will be presenting at the 10th Annual First Gen Summit, MIT, Boston, MA , on November 5th. The First Gen Summit serves as a site for the meeting of the minds. First-gen students and their allies come together to identify problems, discuss grassroots solutions, and share what鈥檚 working on their campuses. The focus is on finding solutions identified by students who can work with their staff, administrator, and faculty allies to create change.
91快活林 student, Ian Griffin, held a signing for his debut novel Birth of A Spy Couple on Thursday, Oct. 20 in the Student Union Building. Griffin served in the United States Army for 31 years. During this time, he lived in Germany for nine years. Living in Germany gave him a unique perspective of Germany and its culture. He has incorporated his experiences and observations into spinning a yarn that encompasses the characters of Rick and Katja.
The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region will have the third rodeo of the 2022-2023 season in Mount Pleasant, Texas October 21st and 22nd. 91快活林 (91快活林) will be the host of the Rodeo held at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Arena located on Greenhill Road in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
The 91快活林 Foundation held its annual Golf Classic on October 17th at Princedale Country Club in Pittsburg. The tournament raised over $10,000 to support the 91快活林 Work4College Program.
The Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation (MPEDC) recently presented 91快活林 with a check for $25,000. This is a repeated initiative between MPEDC and 91快活林. The funds, like before, are being used to provide scholarships to assist residents of Mount Pleasant and Titus County with tuition for 91快活林鈥檚 Professional Driving Academy.
91快活林 hosted its annual college fair on Thursday, Oct. 20th in the Student Union Building. The event brought representatives from more than 20 universities to campus to meet with prospective transfer students.
The 91快活林 Rodeo team made the long trip down to Uvalde, Texas for the Southwest Texas Junior College Rodeo October 6-8th. This was the 60th Annual Rodeo put on by the SWTJC Rodeo team, which also had a special tribute to the victims of the tragic Uvalde School shooting this past spring.
The 91快活林 Continuing Education and Corporate Training department is pleased to announce a training partnership with Advanced Dental Assistant School in Naples. Their 15-week program prepares students for a career as a Professional Expanded Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). Students who enroll through the 91快活林 partnership may be eligible for $1,000 in financial aid.
