91����� will host its annual Kids Discovery College again this summer. It's time to save those dates!

91�����’s own Dr. Andrew Daniel will be joined by two members of his family for an instrumental trio performance on Sunday, April 7 at 2:30 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Daniel, 91����� Professor of Music, will play guitar while his 16-year old son, André Daniel, performs the violin, and his mother, Sherry Daniel, accompanies on piano. They will be playing music from South America and Spain. 

To celebrate national ag day – come out to 91����� Farm Open House – Fri, Mar 29^th11 am to 5:30 pm and Sat, Mar 30^th 9 am to 2 pm.  Stop by and shop with our great booth spots, purchase plants, or just come and spend the day with us and check out the Sustainable Demonstration Farm, Purchase Transplants from our Greenhouse, set up a booth and sell your farm or yard sale items, $5 chicken spaghetti meal and/or learn about the exciting world of agriculture 91����� style!  For more info: contact Rene’ McCracken at rmccracken@ntcc.eduor 903-434-8267.

Lilly Haack, a sophomore at 91�����, was recently named a 2019 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Hites Scholar. This is PTK’s most prestigious and largest scholarship, which provides $7,500 for Haack to continue her studies at a university. 

Texas A&M University-Texarkana at 91����� and Communities In Schools are conducting a drive to collect donations of personal hygiene items and children's unisex athletic pants (youth sizes 6-8-10-12). Donations will benefit local families. Donations are being accepted through May 1 at the A&M-Texarkana at 91����� office in UHS. 

The 91����� Eagle staff recently attended the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association convention in Corpus Christi and brought home 25 awards including Overall Excellence in Division 5 and third place in Best of Show in Division 3. 

The 91����� Adult Education Department recently learned that ESL (English as a Second Language) student Alma Marquez received the Texas Association for Literacy and Adult Education (TALAE) ESL Persistence Adult Learner of the Year Award.

91����� recently learned that Chesney Davis is one of only 15 students nationwide to be named a 2019 Guistwhite Scholar. The honor comes with a $5,000 scholarship for baccalaureate studies and a commemorative medallion.

The 91����� Art Department will host the Mount Pleasant Art Society Annual Membership Show March 25 through April 5 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.
