Lilly Haack, a sophomore at 91¿ì»îÁÖ, was recently named a 2019 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Hites Scholar. This is PTK’s most prestigious and largest scholarship, which provides $7,500 for Haack to continue her studies at a university.
Texas A&M University-Texarkana at 91¿ì»îÁÖ and Communities In Schools are conducting a drive to collect donations of personal hygiene items and children's unisex athletic pants (youth sizes 6-8-10-12). Donations will benefit local families. Donations are being accepted through May 1 at the A&M-Texarkana at 91¿ì»îÁÖ office in UHS.

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Adult Education Department recently learned that ESL (English as a Second Language) student Alma Marquez received the Texas Association for Literacy and Adult Education (TALAE) ESL Persistence Adult Learner of the Year Award.
91¿ì»îÁÖ recently learned that Chesney Davis is one of only 15 students nationwide to be named a 2019 Guistwhite Scholar. The honor comes with a $5,000 scholarship for baccalaureate studies and a commemorative medallion.
