Madison Blood Wins the 2018 Chitsey Award

Madison Lee Blood was recently named the winner of the 2018 Chitsey Award, granted each year to the student of Honors Northeast who most exceeded expectations.† Blood received a $200 check and certificate.† The former Big Sandy Valedictorian impressed all of her professors in her first semester at 91¿ì»îÁÖ as fastidious, hard-working, and astute.† Her work on the emancipation of horses from war-pawns and draft slaves, to ?Black Beauty?

Whatley Center to host Mount Pleasant Art Society Show

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Art Department will host the Mount Pleasant Art Society Annual Membership Show March 10-30 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The competitive show features artwork from a variety of local artists. A reception will be held Saturday, March 10 from 2:00-3:30 p.m., where the winners will be announced. The gallery is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Please call 903-434-8181 to ensure that the gallery is open before you come to visit.

The 5th Annual Engineering Roundtable at 91¿ì»îÁÖ was held on Friday, February 2, 2018 in the Whatley Center Foyer on campus.† Since 2014, this event has become an annual opportunity for both students who are currently enrolled in the 91¿ì»îÁÖ engineering program and students from area high schools who are interested in the field of engineering.
