91快活林 kicked off Independence Day a little early with a fun and festive picnic on Thursday, July 3rd at the Eagle鈥檚 Nest outside the Student Union Building. The event drew a great crowd of students, faculty, staff, and guests from the Ignite Youth Club in Mount Pleasant, all ready to celebrate in their patriotic gear.

The 91快活林 Eagle Rodeo team had three members qualify in the Team Roping event for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming and competed June 15 to June 21, 2025.
91快活林 was represented by Teyton Barton (Heeler) who was partnered with East Texas A&M University鈥檚 Garrett Freeman (Header), and the Eagle duo of Kelon Andrews (Header) and Hayden Sanders (Heeler) made up the Eagle qualifiers.

The 91快活林 Board of Trustees held its on Tuesday, June 24. This marked the first meeting under the leadership of 91快活林's sixth president, Dr. Kevin Rose. The following is a summary of reports given and action that was taken at the June meeting:
The 91快活林 Foundation recently received a donation from Dwain and Linda Blount of Mount Pleasant. Their gift will be used to sponsor a student in the Work4College Program. Pictured (from left) is Dwain, Linda and Mason May, Director of Work4College. There are currently 81 students participating in the summer Work4College Program. 91快活林 will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The college will resume regular hours on Monday, July 7th.
Students may still access online courses, register, make payments and manage other college business at . The second 5-week summer session begins Monday, July 14th and students can still sign up for classes.

The full-day experience gave participants the opportunity to meet faculty and staff, connect with other new students, and take care of important enrollment steps like advising, testing, financial aid, and registration鈥攁ll in one place.
