Every semester full-time and associate faculty in 91快活林鈥檚 Division of Humanities and Social Sciences can select an outstanding student, who is exceptional in some way. This semester, Sociology Professor Dixie Anders nominated Hannah Molandes.
Andrea Reyes, 91快活林鈥檚 Title V Coordinator of Phi Theta Kappa, and Honors has recently received national recognition from two separate honors organizations, the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC), and Phi Theta Kappa. This month, the NCHC announced twelve Awards for Administrative Excellence, and Reyes was one of three recipients from community colleges in the nation to receive this recognition. Reyes also recently won a Paragon Award for new advisors in Phi Theta Kappa, as reported two weeks ago in 鈥淲hat鈥檚 Happening at 91快活林.鈥 In this, she again joined a select circle of twenty, nationally.
The 2020 91快活林 Honors Northeast/Webb Society film on Bo Pilgrim, the great chicken magnate of Northeast Texas, is now available to the public. One can view the feature-length film, and experience the complete film score of Texas composer, Kenny Goodson, by accessing the 91快活林 honors film site at .
The 91快活林 Adult Education and Literacy program will hold its General Education Development (GED) commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 7 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.
The 91快活林 Business Club is selling raffle tickets for a beautiful, patriotic wreath (pictured). Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Proceeds will help fund various community projects and scholarships. The wreath is on display in the BT Building.
The Northeast Texas Community Foundation recently received a check for $3,000 from Drs. Jim and Paula Archer. Jim Archer is pictured (left) presenting the gift to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, 91快活林 Executive Vice President for Advancement. The donation was made through East Texas Giving Day in order to take advantage of available matching opportunities.

91快活林 Softball made the trip down to Tyler on Wednesday for a two-game series with the Tyler Junior College (TJC) Apaches. TJC held on for a 9-7 win in game one and took down the Eagles 7-0 in game two of the set.
91快活林 EatBetter4Less Ambassadors planted an apricot tree Thursday in front of the Instructional Annex (IA) building. The tree is in honor of Dr. Ron Clinton, 91快活林 President, in appreciation for the recent piano concert he performed to raise money for 91快活林's Eagle Pantry.
