New edition of The Eagle available online

The latest issue of The Eagle is now ! Be sure to check it out. This edition includes a great story on the Guardians of the Children biker organization. The article features two 91快活林 faculty members who are a part of The Guardians. There is also a Christmas section with 鈥渓etters to Santa鈥 from some of our students and a 鈥淕rinch鈥 pancake recipe for Christmas morning.

English named Outstanding Music Appreciation Honors Student

Jalyn English, a sophomore Presidential Scholar in Honors Northeast, was recently named Outstanding Music Appreciation Honors Student by the 91快活林 Division of Creative and Performing Arts. 

"Jalyn's dedication to the craft of composition was evident in several original works he completed for the Honors Seminar. His final work, presented during the performance final, was well received and encouraged the audience contemplate the nature of impermanence in an uncertain world," Dr. Andrew Daniel, Associate Professor of Music, said.

While it looked a lot different from our normal commencement, the 91快活林 class of December 2020 walked the stage Friday in a socially-distanced ceremony. For those of you who didn't get to watch it live, you can view it at the links below. Delacruz-Cason named Outstanding PE Student

The 91快活林 Physical Education department has named Sherry Delacruz-Cason as Outstanding Physical Education Student for the Fall 2020 semester. 

鈥淪herry Delacruz Cason has been my most consistent and hard-working physical education student during this Fall semester. She is a role-model for all of us to take a few minutes each day to work out," Dr. Tom Seabourne, physical education professor, said.

DeLisi honored as Outstanding Drawing Student

The 91快活林 Art Department recently honored Amalyah DeLisi as the outstanding drawing student for the 2020 Fall semester. 

"Amalyah DeLisi is the type of art student that doesn't come along every day. She has shown that her talent is unique. She is a hard worker and takes her assignments very seriously and works to the best of her ability.  Her personality along with her talent makes her the ideal student every instructor enjoys having in their class," Maurya Beth Holland, art adjunct instructor, said.
