Annual Scare Affair planned for Oct. 21

It?s time to put on your best Halloween costume, dust off your trick-or-treat basket and head out to 91¿ì»îÁÖ for the 30th annual Scare Affair.

The event is from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21st on the plaza of the main 91¿ì»îÁÖ campus (located on FM 1735 near Chapel Hill ISD). There will be free candy for all trick-or-treaters, low-cost games for all ages, a costume contest with cash prizes and much more! A haunted house will be open until 10:30 p.m.

91¿ì»îÁÖ to host annual NIRA Rodeo

Rodeo fans will get to see more than 300 athletes from throughout the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) compete for points and prizes next weekend as 91¿ì»îÁÖ its 25th annual rodeo. The event will be held October 20-21 at the Pittsburg Rodeo Arena on HWY 271 N in Pittsburg.

Rodeo action will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday Night and at 1 p.m. on Saturday Afternoon.

Honors Northeast students enjoy fall trip to Fort Worth

Honors students at 91¿ì»îÁÖ recently traveled to Fort Worth for the program?s 21st semester day trip. The fall experience included stops at Starbucks, the Fort Worth Zoo, the Woodshed Smokehouse, the Fort Worth Cultural district museums, the Botanical Garden and Tarrant County College. These free trips, through the ongoing support of Drs. Jim and Paula Archer and other friends of 91¿ì»îÁÖ, have become a standard feature of the honors program since 2008.

91¿ì»îÁÖ Culinary Arts to host dinner Oct. 26

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Culinary Arts Program will host a special Thursday Night Dinner on Oct. 26.† The dinner will be held at the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Culinary School in historic downtown Pittsburg and is open to the public.

The menu for the evening will include bacon-wrapped stuffed meatloaf with rosemary roasted potatoes and country green beans with yeast rolls and a dessert to be determined.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, Oct. 12. Due to high demand at previous events, the Culinary Arts Program has moved to a ticketed event rather than first-come-first-served.

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ†Art†Department will host its second art exhibit†of the 2017-2018 school year October 2- 27 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing†Arts.
