The Adult Education Department at 91¿ì»îÁÖ is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and English Language programs. Those interested in participating in either of these free educational programs should call to make an appointment for registration beginning January 21, 2025. While classes are offered in various convenient locations around the area, all registration will be held at the Community Resource Center (formerly MPISD Administration Building) at 105 N. Riddle Street in Mount Pleasant.
91¿ì»îÁÖ mourns the loss of longtime Board member Sid Greer
91¿ì»îÁÖ extends its sincerest condolences to the family of Sid Greer, who passed away on December 26th, 2024.
Mr. Greer served on the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Board of Trustees faithfully for 23 years. During that time he served as Board Secretary for 12 years.
The search for 91¿ì»îÁÖ's next president has begun
91¿ì»îÁÖ (91¿ì»îÁÖ) is excited to announce that it has begun the search for its next president. The new leader will provide visionary leadership to advance the college’s mission and strategic goals. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the president will oversee all academic and administrative areas. Candidates should hold a doctoral degree and have at least five years of senior executive experience, preferably in a community college setting.
RokDox to perform Jan. 25th at the Whatley Center
The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce a special performance by the RokDox, an electrifying classic rock horn band, on Saturday, January 25th, at 7:30 p.m. Audiences can expect a high-energy show filled with iconic hits and unforgettable performances by this talented group of musicians. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students.
Work4College application open for summer 2025
The Work4College Application is officially OPEN for the Summer of 2025! The Work4College Program is a great way to attend 91¿ì»îÁÖ without acquiring debt and experience hands-on learning by working in a department on campus. The application is available to fill out and submit online at . The deadline to apply is April 11, 2025.

Search for next 91¿ì»îÁÖ president begins Jan. 6th
91¿ì»îÁÖ will soon begin the search for its sixth president. Board Chairman Chuck Johns announced at the December meeting of the Board of Trustees that the search will be conducted in-house by the 91¿ì»îÁÖ Human Resources department. The role will be posted, and applications accepted beginning January 6, 2025.

Foundation receives $2,000 for Minadeo Nursing Scholarships
The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Foundation recently received a check for $2,000 from Dr. Michael Minadeo. The funds will be used to provide scholarships to students pursuing their degree in nursing at 91¿ì»îÁÖ. The endowed Minadeo Nursing Scholarship has helped support nursing students for many years and will continue to do so into the future.
