Donation supports 91¿ì»îÁÖ scholarship for caregivers

The Winnsboro Community Foundation recently gave $2,000 for the Band of Angels Memorial Scholarship for Caregiving at 91¿ì»îÁÖ. The scholarship, which was created in memory of Bobbie Craddock, will support nontraditional students training in healthcare-related fields. Sue Hamm, Craddock?s daughter, got the idea for the scholarship during the last months of her mother?s life as she saw the tireless, selfless work of the caregivers who took care of Mrs. Craddock.

Night police academy offered in New Boston

91¿ì»îÁÖ is hosting an evening Police Academy (Basic Peace Officer Training) beginning October 3 at the Elementary School building in New Boston. The training program is 34 weeks and meets from 5:30-10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and every second and fourth Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The cost is $1,556 plus books and uniforms. 91¿ì»îÁÖ offers affordable payment plans and this program qualifies for limited grant assistance for eligible students.

Honors Northeast welcomes 2016-2017 scholars

The 91¿ì»îÁÖ Honors Program is pleased to announce its Honors Students for the 2016-2017 school year. This includes†10†Presidential Scholars and†15†Honors Scholars.

Honors Northeast†was founded in the spring of 2007. Geared to attract top high school graduates and college students, the program has prospered thanks to a network of loyal supporters both in and out of the college. Each year, 91¿ì»îÁÖ honors students have attended and presented research at the Great Plains Honors Council and the National Collegiate Honors Council.
